Swell from the south-east to south at 1m. Wind north-west to north tending east then shifting south.
Few shorebreaks for the early off Merewether, Pogos and Dixon. Incoming tide best for Newcastle Beach and South Bar. Redhead, North Catho and Moonie to the South. Birubi and Treachery to the north.
Beach inspectors are keeping most swimmers in flagged areas of patrolled beaches. Still some backwash on low. Water temperature 21C.
