The four-year-old grey mare was in the last three on the bend in the 1100-metre class three handicap but reeled in the front-runners under Nash Rawiller to hit the lead at the 100m mark and score a 0.8-length victory.
It was Fritz's Factor's fourth win in seven starts for Northam after coming from the stables of John Thompson following one race.
Fritz's Factor had won all three of her starts at Scone and proved a class above as the $4 favourite on Saturday.
Northam had claimed a highway handicap, $75,000 Saturday city races for country-trained horses, in September with Marokawa.
Newcastle trainer Kris Lees fell short of qualifying Miss Canada for the January 11 Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast with a second at Randwick to Nitrous.
Needing a win to have any chance of qualifying via prizemoney for the $2 million race for two-year-old, Miss Canada debuted off one trial and led before going down by 0.2 of a length.
Jockey Brenton Avdulla was impressed with the maiden effort.
"She was great," Avdulla told Racing NSW.
"She was obviously giving away race experience and only had one trial where she jumped, led and went to the line hard held, so if she had another trial she probably beats them."
Meanwhile, champion trainer Chris Waller has finalised his team for Magic Millions day after Madam Rouge won Saturday's listed Christmas Classic (1200m) at Randwick and stablemate Invincibella ran home for an eye-catching sixth.
Both mares will run in the $1 million fillies and mares (1300m) race, which Invincibella has won the past two years.
But Madam Rouge showed she would be a formidable opponent with a comfortable Christmas Classic win over Glenall and Albumin.
Ridden by Kathy O'Hara, Madam Rouge ($5) had 1-1/4 lengths to spare on Glenall ($7) with Albumin ($17) another long neck third.
Although Madam Rouge was forced to travel wide, she went to the line strongly and O'Hara expressed surprise as to just how easily she won.
"I haven't had one win that easy for a long time," O'Hara said.
"She didn't have any luck with the barrier [eight] but she won with authority.
"She let down with real gusto from the top of the straight and I didn't really ask for too much.
"She just won so easy, in a canter. It's nice to feel one win like that again."
Waller said: "That was a very impressive win.
"It was a good ride from Kathy. She never panicked when she was three wide.
"Madam Rouge will make her presence felt up on the Gold Coast."
However, Waller will not have a runner in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on January 11 after Blondeau ran fourth as the equal favourite in Saturday's Bruce McLachlan at Eagle Farm.
