Mr Merlo, of Dalton Partners, told Domain he has been "overwhelmed" by enquiry for the three-bedroom home on a block 588 square metres in size at 52 Turnbull Street in Merewether. It has a guide of $1.15 milion.
The property's auction was originally set down for February 29 with Mr Merlo saying he released the property before the Christmas break with plans for a longer marketing period thinking many buyers would be away.
"I could not have been more wrong," Mr Merlo said. "With no publicised open houses we have had 26 inspections via three private viewings and to date have issued 16 contracts. The response to the home takes me back to auctions we were conducting in 2016 and 2017."
