Willett and Scanlan reigned supreme at the Commonwealth Championships in their respective men's and women's trap finals, the opening of a two-part program at the Awaba venue.
Rio Olympian Willett, who reached world No.1 last year, defeated Vinnie Mollica with a perfect 10 in the fifth and final round. Willett ended up three ahead of his nearest rival with 46 out of a possible 50 overall from the six-man decider.
Scanlan, a three-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist, cleared Penny Smith by seven after finishing with 20 straight hits and missing just three targets across five stages.
Competition at the Shooting Australia event, which counts towards selection for this year's Games in Tokyo, continues with National Championships for skeet on Thursday and trap on Friday.
