A brand new four-bedroom residence at 6 Rose Street has been secured before its scheduled auction for $1.1 million, one of Tighes Hill's highest sale prices. PRDnationwide's Ryan Nichols said the property attracted local and Sydney interest.
The highest house sale in Tighes Hill, according to APM data, was $1.38 million for a waterfront home in Tighes Terrace in 2016 but only a handful of homes have broken the million-dollar mark. The suburb's median house was $747,500 in 2018 then $750,000 in 2019. in 2016 it was $590,000.
Street Property's Damon Sellis said the $560,000 sale of a three-bedroom cottage at 8 Ivy Street in Islington exceeded expectations. The home on 225 square metres of land had a guide of $490,000 to $540,000. APM data shows the median house sale price of Islington rose 5.3 per cent from $617,500 in 2018 to $650,000 in 2019.
The sale of a renovated 1920s residence with a studio on a large block at 177 Kemp Street in Hamilton South is believed to be one of the suburb's highest. Robinson Property's Lyndall Allan sold it on January 7 for an undisclosed sum but Domain understands it was well above the $1.95 million guide.
