Newcastle Writers Festival founding director Rosemarie Milsom has been chosen for the Arts Leaders Program, which involves three intensive learning sessions, including one in Indonesia.
Writer, musician and zinemaker Bastian Fox Phelan has been chosen for the Future Leaders Program, which also involves two learning sessions and the opportunity to apply for a secondment at an arts organisation.
The council said the sessions were not professional development conferences.
"Instead, they are an opportunity for the group to come together, share ideas, listen, collaborate and develop new ideas... to reflect, refuel and learn about leadership."
