Adam, Merewether's 2019 club champion and part of their Australian Boardriders Battle title win, locked in two good scores early in the 30-minute final of the twin-fin contest and it proved decisive as conditions deteriorated.
He beat two-time champion Ryan Callinan, inaugural winner Luke Egan, Jackson Brent, Luke Hamilton and Zac Tinson in the final.
The event capped a week in which Merewether member Mike Clayton-Brown won the under 16 boys' national gromsearch final.
