POLICE are investigating after rounds of ammunition and two guns were stolen from a Hunter Valley storage shed this week.

A 32-year-old man took a firearms safe containing guns and ammunition to a storage unit at McDougalls Hill, northwest of Singleton, on Tuesday.
Police were told the man secured the unit and left the site and left before returning about 9am on Thursday morning.
He called Hunter Valley police to report the weapons stolen.
A crime scene was established and inquiries began.
Investigations are ongoing and police are seeking CCTV or dash-cam footage that could aid inquiries.
