The Hunter football community was in mourning on Friday after news Rowe had died, possibly from a heart attack.
Rowe had coached Lake Macquarie in the top division before a stint with West Wallsend in the second tier and he was a popular figure at both clubs.
He returned to the Roosters as an assistant in recent years but was to join Michael Bolch's team at NPL premiers Maitland this season.
West Wallsend president Jason Taylor said the clubs would observe a minute's silence and wear black armbands on Sunday to honour Rowe.
The tragedy comes as the Bluebells prepare for their community day and Jaryd "Humbo" Hayter scoreboard grand opening on Saturday. Hayter, an under-19 player at West Wallsend, died in a work accident in 2018.
West Wallsend and Lake Macquarie will play at 2.30pm Sunday for third spot in the Heritage Cup after losing their semi-finals on Wednesday night.
Minmi and Merewether Advance play in the Community Plate final at 4.15pm.
Edgeworth and Adamstown meet in the Heritage Cup decider from 6pm.
Defending champions Edgeworth will welcome back skipper Josh Evans for the final after he missed their past two matches.
Northern NSW NPL 2019 grand final hero Daniel Fabrizio has returned to the club and will also feature.
