It's all happening at Merewether's Jefferson Park on March 7 and 8 and will again feature a great line-up of Hunter Valley wine producers, craft beer and cider makers, local food providers and live music.
Saturday's event will this year extend from 11am to 7pm, with Sunday opening hours 11am to 5pm.
Event manager Louise Maher, of Hunter Valley Events, says Barrelled "brings the cellar door experience to the shores of Merewether Beach".
"What we look to achieve with Barrelled is very simple - great wines, craft beers and food with live music to eat, drink and dance to while you gaze out over that great Merewether Beach view. It's also a family and pet-friendly event."
Already confirmed are Allandale Winery, Boydell's, De Iuliis Wines, Crossing Creek, Mount Pleasant, Peter Drayton Wines, Tulloch Wines, Tyrrell's and Wine Selectors. They will be joined by Australian Wild Cider, Cattleyard Brewing Co, Ironbark Hill Brewhouse, Murray's Craft Brewing Co and Sydney Brewery.
As for the food, Hunter Valley Cheese Factory will be serving cheese and antipasto platters for $25, joined by Goose on the Loose, Bao Brothers Eatery, Urban Mess, Twine Restaurant and Taco Locato. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the sea breeze as you graze.
Entry to Barrelled is free. To enjoy wine and beer tastings, purchase a souvenir festival tumbler and vouchers.
The popular Barrelled Business Class Bar offers limited seating in a private marquee. Two-hour Business Class Bar sessions cost $60 per person and include private, premium wine and craft beer tastings and a Hunter Valley Cheese plate per couple.
Long time Surfest event manager Warren Smith also shared his enthusiasm about Barrelled.
"With the ever-growing number of domestic and international visitors, as well as the thousands of locals who attend Surfest, it is a great way to showcase Hunter regional food, wine and beer," he said.
Event details and online ticket sales are at barrelled.com.au. If you book your ticket online by March 6 you will be in the running to win a stay at Chateau Elan in the Hunter Valley plus golf, wine and beer experiences.
