On Bloodstream she sings of self-harm with, "Now a river runs red from my knuckles into the sink/ And there's a pale girl staring through the mirror at me." While Yellow Is The Color Of Her Eyes delves into Allison's guilt of being on tour while her mother battles a terminal illness.
Yes, Color Theory is bleak, but it's beautiful too.
