NNSWF put out a media release on Friday afternoon advising the round-two match at Magic Park would not go ahead as scheduled, stating a Broadmeadow Magic WPL player had become unwell and was awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.
The release stated the player had been in close contact with other senior members of the WPL program at a recent club event.
"This is a precautionary measure and NNSWF's management has been working co-operatively with the club's officials," NNSWF boss David Eland said in the release.
"NNSWF places at the highest priority, the health and well-being of players, supporters, officials and the wider football community.
"Updates will be provided when further information comes to hand."
Broadmeadow Magic's NPL Youth fixtures against North Coast Football at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Sunday are not affected and will proceed as scheduled.
