Newcastle City Police District officers have charged a 25-year-old woman with high-range drink driving following an incident at Broadmeadow on Monday night.

About 10.20pm, a Kia sedan was involved in a crash on Lambton Road.
Police said officers attended a short time later and submitted the driver of the car, a 25-year-old woman, to a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.
Police arrested the woman and took her to Waratah Police Station.
She submitted to a breath analysis and returned a reading of 0.172, which is classed as high-range.
Police confiscated and immediately suspended her licence.
They charged the woman with driving with high-range PCA. She is due to appear before Newcastle Local Court at a later date.
