Anthony Di Nardo, of Belle Property Charlestown, listed the tri-level home at 45 Dilkera Avenue with a guide of $2.95 million. He reported strong interest before it was bought after 14 days on the market for an undisclosed sum.

Belle also recorded a big result for Swansea Heads with agent Neil Fry selling a four-bedroom brick house opposite Crabbs beach at 25 Pacific Drive for $1.6325 million. According to Australian Property Monitors data it is the second-highest residential sale result for Swansea Heads with the top $2.05 million for 9 Diamond Close set in 2015.
A suburb record for Adamstown is believed to have been set with PRD's auction sale of a renovated and extended Californian Bungalow at 71 Lockyer Street. While the sale price has not been disclosed, the Newcastle Herald believes it was above the suburb record of $1.6 million.
PRD also sold a four-bedroom residence with sweeping ocean views at 45A Curry Street in Merewether for between $3 million and $3.3 million and an original cottage that had been in the same family for over 75 years at 85 Albert Street in Wickham for $610,000 after its first open home.
There were four registered bidders last weekend for the auction of a four-bedroom home at 165 Teralba Road in Adamstown which was marketed by First National Newcastle City and sold under the hammer for $760,000.
