Officials released a statement on Tuesday night following a directive from AFL headquarters in response to COVID-19.
The announcement means all matches, trials, training and events, across seniors, juniors and Auskick, are postponed immediately in a bid to help stop the spread of the global coronavirus pandemic.
The men's and women's Black Diamond Cup campaigns were set to start on April 3 and 4. Grand finals remain scheduled for September 19.
"We understand this decision will impact the football community and we will work closely with all clubs and stakeholders during this challenging time," AFL Hunter Central Coast community football manager Sam Zikman said.
"At this stage the league is unsure of the structure of the season including number of rounds and finals.
"All the above being said - front of mind for the league and board at this time is the health and wellbeing of our members, their families and the wider community. Take care and look after each other."
In the meantime, outside regular round games, junior representative training on Friday as well as next weekend's women's invitational and AFL HCC season launch are postponed.
Senior representative fixtures on April 13 (local women) and May 16 (AFL HCC v South Coast) have also been put on hold.
