Upgrade works at No.1 Sportsground have been slated for later in the year, once home club Newcastle City finish their regular season.
No timeline has been announced by Newcastle City Council, however, AFL HCC community football manager Sam Zikman said Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex was booked for the title showdowns on September 19.
"With No.1 out of action later this year the grand finals will be played on the Central Coast," Zikman said.
"The new complex has already held round one for us last year and an invitational [gala] day.
"It's a bit of a change, but we're looking forward to it."
Grand final date remains the same on the new schedule, but could be pushed back a week if the AFL decider at the MCG moves to October.
The AFLHCC season now has five less rounds and six-team finals will be reduced. Opening bounce is set for June 6. The representative program has been scrapped, with AFL HCC instead to visit South Coast in 2021.
Earlier this week, AFL headquarters directed all community competitions to be postponed immediately until May 31.
