Freshening offshore winds for the weekend with some rain on the forecasts. Surf conditions to be clean with a slight increase. Mainly beach breaks on the banks in the northern corners. Swell from the East at 1 to 1.5m. Wind North to N/W stronger West by afternoon. Tides full early and try the inner reefs at Cowrie and Bar Beach. Banks at Newcastle Beach, South Bar and Dixon. Burwood, Dudley and Redhead to the south. Buribi and Fingal up at Port Stephens. Swell change for Sunday. Water is clean and clear in and beaches are sanded up.
