Ison had four winners at the eight-race program, including a treble for boss Roy Roots jnr.
He has twice had four winners at a meeting on his hometown track of Tamworth but achieved the feat for the first time at Newcastle when saluting on the Shane Harmey-trained Only When I Play and Roots jnr's Glengarry Rose, He's The Warrior and Watching You Dream.
Glengarry Rose settled well back in the running line but made the most of a saloon passage at the top of the straight to win by 4.7 metres in a 1:58:4 mile rate for the 2030m.
"She's probably in the form of her life," Ison said.
Three-year-old He's The Warrior made it two wins in his past three starts. He worked three wide early to sit outside the lead before holding off favourite Babyitscold by a neck in 1:57:9 for 2030m.
"He's pretty exceptional, and could be one of our best," Ison said
Ison took $18 chance Only When I Play to a short half-head win to back up a 27m victory at Inverell.
"They didn't go real quick, but he still beat them and came from last," he said.
Watching You Dream, in her second start for Roots jnr, claimed the last by 10.7m in 1:56:4 for the mile.
"She showed last night that she's a pretty class filly, a three-year-old running 1:56, and she did it pretty comfortably," Ison said.
On Monday, Ison said Roots jnr's Marty Major, Robbo and Rocknroll Tony were good chances and he expected Second Major to be strong first-up. Eagle Uno, for trainer Barry Miller, in the first was another winning shot.
"It's not an overly strong race and Barry says it's been working well," he said.
