One bad tackle - a split second - and Alex McKinnon's life was changed forever.
The injured Knight was stretchered from the field in 2014. He was later diagnosed as a quadriplegic. But with support of his partner Teigan, his family, friends, and the club, Alex has gone on to become a fixture of the Newcastle Knights and the spirit of the club.
McKinnon joins Barry Toohey in episode 11 of his new podcast, Toohey's News, on the eve of the NRL's return after the season was shut down due to the outbreak of coronavirus, to talk about life before and after his injury, his long road to recovery, and his current work with the Newcastle Knights.
