The tightly held apartment at 1001/61 Shortland Esplanade is being sold by Walkom Real Estate's Greg Handsaker and is on the market for the first time since the beachside complex was built in 2004.
It has a prized northeast aspect with wall-to-wall glass offering views of the harbour, Nobbys headland and Newcastle beach.

"The view and aspect are sensational," Mr Handsaker said.
"There's not many around like it. Those apartments in the plum positions, like this one, there's not many of them for a start and then they tend to be occupied by happy campers.
"The money shot for Newcastle is Nobbys and this one gulps in the views of Nobbys and the harbour and the beaches. You can't better the northeast corner."
The apartment has four balconies. Local interest was expected and viewings are by appointment only.
Few Newcastle apartments have sold over $3.5 million. In June last year, a three-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouse at 59/1 King Street was sold for $3.35 million. The apartment was in The Royal and featured stunning views of Newcastle beach and beyond.
A $600,000 sale in new development Parry Grande overlooking National Park is believed to be a record result for a one-bedroom apartment in Newcastle West.

A $600,000 sale in new development Parry Grande overlooking National Park is believed to be a record result for a one-bedroom apartment in Newcastle West.
First National Newcastle City's Tom Lemke marketed 202/122-124 Parry Street with a guide of $550,000 to $600,000 and said the sale surpassed the previous highest of $580,000 for a "high-level", one-bedroom apartment in Verve, according to CoreLogic data.
"We put it up two weeks ago and set it for auction," Mr Lemke said.
"It was 78 square metres internal with a 21 square metre balcony, so a decent size and perfect for a downsizer. It is bit unique for what it was. It was probably 30 square metres bigger than anything else out there at the moment.
"Stock is very low at the moment. There's less buyers but there is demand for quality homes or units. A good sale like that is definitely a good sign for the market."

A two-bedroom beachfront apartment in the Azura complex overlooking Newcastle beach has attracted good interest, according to Dowling Eastlakes' Lance Jensen.
He is marketing the property at 307/35 Shortland Esplanade, Newcastle with Chris Rowbottom and said interest had come from "all sectors of the market", including buyers from within the complex, Melbourne and Sydney.
The apartment has balconies to the south and west, two car spaces plus a storage cage and is in a luxury complex that features a spa, lap pool and common garden areas.
Ocean views are maximised through open plan living. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite benchtops. The main bedroom features an ensuite, walk-in robe, views across Newcastle beach and sliding door access to the south-facing verandah.
Views from the rear balcony are towards Stockton. The apartment also has a study.
It is set for auction on June 20 with a guide of $1.35 million and is open for inspection Saturday at 12.30pm.
