Danny Buderus is, in Barry Toohey's words, one of the 'true legends" of the Newcastle Knights and the NRL.
In a stellar career through the early 2000s to present, Buderus has at one time or another performed in just about every role the game the local club have to offer.
From State of Origin to Australian representative football, to legendary club clashes, a grand final victory, and now as the Newcastle Knights' football director Buderus has seen the game from almost every imaginable angle.
He joined Toohey in the 13th episode of the Newcastle Herald's podcast, Toohey's News, to look back on his career and to reflect on the trials and tribulations of managing an NRL club in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
