Wayne Stewart and Rob O'Brien, of Century 21 Novocastrian, marketed the property at 30 Tyrrell Street with a guide of $1.6 million to $1.75 million. It sold under the hammer last Saturday for $1.8 million with the buyer intending to renovate and make it their family home. It was on the market for the first time in 50 years.
A four-bedroom home which immersed its owners in nature at 154 Grandview Parade in New Lambton Heights and was marketed by Robinson Property's Mike Flook has sold for $1.04 million. A luxury beachside residence at 7 Berner Street, also marketed by Mr Flook, has sold. The sale price has not been disclosed but the Newcastle Herald reported in February the property had been listed for sale with a guide of $4 million to $4.5 million.
McKiernan Real Estate have sold a brand new, three-bedroom beach house with "wow factor" at 15 Railway Street, Dudley within its price guide of $1.15 million to $1.2 million.

A two-bedroom, tri-level residence in boutique complex The Terraces at 2/6 Wickham Street in Wickham has been sold by First National Newcastle City for $680,000. They also sold a Victorian property at 24 Elizabeth Street, Mayfield for an undisclosed sum. It had a guide of $770,000 to $830,000. The property sat on a corner block 746 square metres in size. It has been a maternity hospital, aged care facility and accommodation.
In Cardiff, McFarlane Real Estate sold a three-bedroom home at 46 Queens Avenue for $460,000.
