A MAN accused of procuring a child and grooming online will face court on Wednesday.

Detectives from the Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU), part of the Child Abuse and Sex Crime Squad, began engaging online with a man from Morriset last month.
They will allege the man believed he was speaking to a 14-year-old girl when he participated in sexually explicit conversations about acts he wished the child to perform.
He is also accused of sending explicit material and it is further alleged the man arranged to meet the teenager.
Strike force detectives arrested a 40-year-old man at a Mannering Park business about 2.30pm on Tuesday.
They seized his phone and took him to Wyong police station, where he was charged with use carriage service to procure child under 16 years for sexual activity.
He was refused bail to face Wyong Local Court.
Strike Force Trawler, an ongoing investigation into online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, regularly conducts covert online investigations.
