There hasn't been too many greater characters come through the Knights ranks than premiership-winning frontrower Matt Parsons. A country boy from Werris Creek, his life has been touched by tragedy with the sudden deaths of his mother and father but no-one would be prouder of the man he has become than them. A real favourite among the club's Old Boys, Parso made great use of talent to win a Dally M prop of the year award at South Sydney before becoming an unsung hero of the Knights 2002 premiership win over Parramatta.
