BEACHWATCH

Swell to peak during the morning, incoming tide and winds look like being light onshore due to big low pressure system covering the coast. Swell direction has straightened up and still mainly suiting the reefs. Swell from the south to south-east at 1.5 to 2m. Wind light and variable tending south to south-east. Shallow tide early, making it hard for the paddle out. Once again it's the reefs at Nobbys and Merewether. Banks at South Bar and Cliff. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. One Mile and Seals Rocks to the north. Sweeps in southern corners which have overnight erosion. Water temperature 16 degrees. - Dave Anderson
