Blake Maxwell Sanders faced Woy Woy Local Court on Tuesday afternoon over the alleged incident earlier that day.

The 28-year-old was charged with two counts of enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal), assault police officer in execution of duty cause actual bodily harm, resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty, and intimidate police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm.

According to court documents, Mr Sanders applied for bail but Magistrate Elizabeth Ellis refused it.

The charges came after police were called to a Halekulani neighbourhood about 7am on Tuesday - for the second time that morning - after reports a man was allegedly trespassing and threatening residents.

Police allege Mr Sanders became aggressive when officers spoke to him and punched a 47-year-old female senior constable in the head several times.

Mr Sanders is accused of continuing the attack as police tried to subdue him, allegedly punching and kicking the officer before being detained.

Police said the senior constable sustained facial lacerations and was treated at the scene before being taken to Wyong Hospital.

Magistrate Ellis adjourned the matter to July 22.
