Police have determined no offence occurred in relation to a report of a child being approached at Raymond Terrace at the weekend.
In a statement on Tuesday, police said extensive inquiries had been conducted and no further investigation would take place.
EARLIER REPORT:
Police are appealing for information after a 10-year-old girl was approached outside a Raymond Terrace home on Saturday.
The man asked the child, who was on Gwen Avenue, to go with him but she refused.
The girl then walked to a nearby park with friends, but the man followed the group and took photos of them.
A member of the public intervened and the man left the scene.
He is described as being aged in his 40s or 50s, with black hair and a receding hair line. He was wearing denim jeans and a grey/blue jacket.
