The Marlins host Maitland at Dick Burwell Oval in the men's competition. The Nelson Bay-Port Stephens joint venture welcome Terrigal Avoca to Ferodale Park in the women's competition.
The club's postponed matches against Warners Bay from July 25 have yet to be rescheduled.
An under-9 player from Nelson Bay tested positive for COVID-19 after taking part in a game against the Newcastle City Sky Blue under 9s at Don Waring Oval when delayed junior competitions started on July 19.
Second and third round fixtures, July 26 and August 2, for the Nelson Bay under-9 team have been cancelled in line with Hunter New England Health advice while opponents Newcastle City Sky Blue under 9s recommence on Sunday after standing down last weekend.
Furthermore, teams from Nelson Bay seniors and Port Stephens juniors also recommence this weekend but all Nelson Bay juniors will have another seven days off with matches postponed.
"The league have been working closely with all clubs in the Port Stephens and Nelson Bay region over the last week following the positive testing of a Nelson Bay Marlins under 9s player for COVID-19," AFL Hunter Central Coast released in a statement on Thursday.
"We ask everyone in our football community to adhere to all local health authority advice regarding the matter."
