Belmont High School is a proud comprehensive high school offering a balanced curriculum to enable all students achieve their potential.

The school has recently undergone refurbishment including new future focused learning spaces, new commercial and domestic kitchens including a bistro area, upgrade of all creative and performing arts spaces, school canteen and new purpose built special education teaching spaces.

Students have a range of curriculum options to support both academic and vocational pathways and are well supported with their studies by a dedicated and highly motivated staff who ensure a stimulating and supportive learning environment Positive partnerships between the student, teacher and parent are fostered.

Belmont offers Enrichment classes Years 7-10, and a selective CAPA class has been introduced in Year 7.

All classes are well supported with the BYOD program and training and access to technology for learning is available throughout the school. Students are also able to access accelerated curriculum.

Belmont High School features a fully staffed Senior and Junior Learning Hub, access to Careers Advisor support, work experience opportunities, assistance in applying for jobs, school based traineeships, university applications and opportunities to do courses gaining qualifications in: white card, first aid and barista.

Vocational courses with a TAFE accreditation are offered in Construction, Hospitality and Retail and are studied at the school.

This year the school has embarked on the Positive Behaviour for Learning journey with a whole school emphasis on Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.

This is reinforced with lessons developed in consultation with students and with a strong focus on rewarding student positive behaviour culminating with regular prize draws throughout the term. Students are well supported through a range of wellbeing programs and access to a full-time Student Support Officer, Head Teacher Wellbeing, Year Advisors and School Counsellors.

Belmont High has a strong focus on student voice through our active Student Representative Council and Junior AECG leadership programs.

Students are able to access a range of sporting opportunities both at school, zone, regional and CHS level.

The school has been state champions in Trampoline for the past 26 years and students make up a significant number of representatives in both the national Trampoline and Diving teams.

Belmont High has a long-standing involvement with the Regional Starstruck program where students perform in dance, orchestra, vocal and special needs student dance.

The school offers band and choral extra curricula activities and students feature at local events and perform consistently at the annual HSC Reprise concert.

Belmont High has close links with the Belmont Learning Community and strong transition programs to engage our feeder schools prior to commencement at high school through Year 5 activity day, Year 5 weekly enrichment program, Year 6 orientation day and school visits and performances from the school's band and Aboriginal dance group.
