Belle Property Charlestown's Neil Fry launched the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home on 1284 square metres of waterfront reserve land at 21 Nine Acres Way on July 8 with a guide of $1.58 million to $1.68 million.

According to Australian Property Monitors data, the previous highest house sale in Murrays Beach was $1.325 million paid in April of 2018.

"There was a good level of interest from Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, but the bulk of it was from Sydney, attracted to the lifestyle that property offered, and it ended up being purchased by a Sydney couple," Mr Fry said.
