Young, who made his top grade debut for Huddersfield last season under former Newcastle assistant coach Simon Woolford when he was just 17, is a centre-winger who will join the Knights top 30 squad in 2021.
He turns 19 this month and at 198 centimetres tall and weighing 106 kilos, he will be an imposing addition to the Knights backline.
Knights recruitment boss Alex McKinnon says Young is arguably the top rated 18-year-old in the UK and wants to make a name for himself in the NRL.
Young's signing will only heighten doubts over the playing future of Tautau Moga at the Knights.
Moga, who has courageously fought his way back from four knee reconstructions, was dumped for Saturday's clash with Wests Tigers after a poor defensive game against Melbourne last Sunday.
He is off contract for next season and it's highly unlikely he will be re-signed by the club.
