It came after Port Stephens-Hunter police responded to reports of a domestic-related incident at East Maitland on Saturday, where they allegedly seized cannabis, steroids, methamphetamine, cocaine and more than $20,000 cash.

Further investigations led police to an industrial shed at Giggins Road, Heatherbrae, on Wednesday afternoon, where a man jumped out a window in an attempt to escape officers.

When the 31-year-old was arrested a short time later, police allegedly found a 1kg package of cocaine inside his shorts - the drugs were seized for forensic examination.

A crime scene was established and a search warrant was executed at the industrial property, where police seized motorcycles, a car, methylamphetamine, cash, mobile phones and knuckle dusters.

The man was charged with five offences including supply large commercial quantity prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, attempt stalk/intimidate intend fear of harm (domestic) and deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear at Maitland Local Court.

Police said on Thursday investigations are continuing and further charges are expected to be laid.
