The Scone-based 26-year-old, engaged to former NRL hooker Adam Clydsdale, was named in the club's squad on Wednesday ahead of next month's competition.
The former Australian rugby sevens representative crossed over to league a few months ago, joining the Central Coast Roosters for the NSW Women's Premiership.
Playing in the outside backs Meakes scored twice in Central Coast's major semi-final win recently to help them into Sunday's decider against the North Sydney Bears at Bankwest Stadium.
Meakes will have a crack at the state title this weekend before turning her full attention to NRLW.
It's a similar case for Hannah Southwell, Mel Howard, Bobbi Law and Brydie Parker, who have all re-signed with the Roosters but will first feature for Central Coast.
Wallaroos captain Grace Hamilton, who led Australia against Japan in Newcastle last year, has also been contracted by the Roosters as well as Olympic gold medalist Charlotte Caslick.
"It's exciting that our squad has assembled. We've been working hard, and we're looking forward to getting our connection and combinations strong in lead-up to the competition kicking off next week," Roosters NRLW coach Jamie Feeney said via the club's website.
Isabelle Kelly and Caitlan Johnston have not re-signed at the Roosters.
Round one is October 3.
