Timberlina, who previously hosted the monthly Blush events at the venue before it closed, will return to the hotel from October 4 with the launch of Sunday Service.
The "safe and inclusive" event will be held every Sunday and feature Timberlina in full drag production shows on stage in the hotel's new venue, Live At The X. Sunday Service has been "a year in the making" and will star Timberlina alongside a host of other performers including Foxy Faux and Orlando Gloom, both past winners of Timberlina's Drag Off competitions.
"It's aimed at being a more inclusive style of event, so anyone and everyone can come and be themselves in a safe space," Timberlina says. "We start upstairs on the balcony from 3pm with cocktails galore and then we go downstairs, and that's when the action starts."
The event will feature full drag production shows and solos, as well as DJs.
"It's going to be really fun and really camp, and I'm so excited to be back on stage," Timberlina says.
"The first show is disco, so it's a full production, full of disco and very over-the-top. We have a three-week rotation, so every week there's a new production happening and it will start again in three weeks time. It will be all-new and all-exciting."
The Exchange Hotel is a member of the Welcome Here project which supports businesses throughout Australia to promote environments that are inclusive of LGBTIQ communities.
