Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called about 3.30am after reports of a hatchback ablaze.
They found the car well alight with no occupants on the scene.
Efforts to extinguish the fire lasted until about 4am, when the area was rendered safe.
The vehicle was extinguished shortly before 4:00am with the area rendered safe.
Police were also called to the scene and will examine the causes of the fire.
Separately, investigators are also examining how a fire broke out in a Gosford industrial building.
Emergency services were called to Dyer Crescent about 1.30am after reports of a fire.
They found the commercial premises engulfed in flame.
Crews remain on scene this morning after extinguishing the blaze.
Brisbane Water police are yet to determine the cause of the fire but are investigating the circumstances.
