Miles has Not Today in the feature race, a 5th grade 515m Red Dog Final, and Lately in a 272m free for all.
Not Today was a $3.50 TAB second elect after drawing box six. Star Hotel, for Toronto trainer Peter Tobin, was $1.80 from the rails draw.
Miles was not fazed by the draw given his Keybow bitch has won her past three starts at the distance from boxes four, two and seven. Before her recent streak, she was fifth in Gardens heats of the Million Dollar Chase.
"She seems to be able to handle herself well in the field," Miles said.
"She was in the Million Dollar Chase heats and that's the only race she's never finished a place in. She just wasn't up to that at the moment, but it's only early days. She's only had 13 starts."
Lately ($2.90) has won three of seven over The Gardens 272m and he has drawn suitably in seven.
"It always misses the jump, so three, four and five is just poison for her," he said.
Miles is close to trialing sprint stars Blue Bronte and Laurie's Flyer after setbacks. Laurie's Flyer cramped up when third at Gosford on September 15, four days after he broke the 272m record at The Gardens with a run of 15.13 seconds. Blue Bronte was injured in a catching pen clash a month ago.
"I've been in it 50 years and I don't think I've ever had a better team of dogs," he said.
"We've had dogs as good or better, but only one or two. All these dogs you can be confident with."
