There's always something on at the Exchange.

Recently relaunched following a $5million redesign, the Exchange Hotel in Hamilton has been purpose built to have something for everyone. Whether it's live music, sport, great food or amazing cocktails, The Exchange has a space for you.

"We extended outwards and upwards to build a massive two level live music space called 'Live at the X'," Group Marketing Manager Carly Finch said. "When restrictions ease, the plan is to have local and international live music acts multiple nights a week. It will be the place to go to see your favourite artist.

"The sound system has been taken straight out of the Sydney Opera House, so the sound quality is incredible.

"For now, you can see local soloists and duos live every Friday and Saturday night til late."

The newly added Swill Bar upstairs is the place to go for amazing cocktails.

"The cocktail list has been designed by award-winning Group Beverage Manager Brent Tozer," Carly said. "Brent spent weeks designing and perfecting each cocktail that has been added to the list at Swill. All ingredients, including purees and syrups, are made fresh in house."

Sports lovers don't miss out with a chilled reconfiguration of the public bar and an awesome new sports bar, complete with all TAB facilities, three 75-inch LED screens and one enormous mega screen for all those must-see events.

"The LED screen is 6x4m and is the biggest privately owned screen in the southern hemisphere," Carly said.

"The plan is to show all live sports on this screen so whether you're into UFC, boxing, football or racing, you'll be able to watch all the action and the screen is so big you'll feel like you are there!"

Foodies are well catered for at The Kitchen, with classic dishes, done well.

"We want to re-educate the Newcastle palate with some amazing food," says celebrity chef Phil Davenport, who developed the menu.

"The aim with all of our food is for it to be super yummy, super fresh, and only using the best ingredients."

Joining an already elite line-up of chefs at The Kitchen is wood-fired pizza wizard Franco Malgioglio.

"Franco brings over 24 years of experience in creating and perfecting his own signature pizza dough which is sure to blow everyone who tries it away," Carly said. "Watch Franco in action as he creates pizzas that dreams are made of right in front of you."

The new Exchange truly lives up to its goal of being your home away from home with a space for everyone every day and night of the week.

"From live music, to sport, to food, to cocktails, to just catching up with friends - we have it covered," Carly said. "On a weekend, you can start your afternoon watching the footy, head upstairs for dinner and move into Swill Bar til 3am. On Sundays, we have our Sunday Service event which is a weekly safe space for everyone. It involves cocktails on the balcony from 3pm and drag performances and DJs until late. Tuesday night is mega meat raffle night with 50 meat trays up for grabs, and Wednesday is Joker Poker with a minimum prize of $5000."

Zenith Hotels, which owns The Exchange, as well as The Beach Hotel, and Shoal Bay Country Club, has just launched group memberships where by joining as a Zenith Hotels member you receive membership benefits at all of their venues.

"There's some exciting things to come for Zenith Hotels in 2021," Carly said.
