'Trigg's Garage' was set up by Charles 'Chas' Trigg after he was demobbed from the RAAF seventy-five years ago.
Chas retired in 1972 and the business passed onto his sons.
Now with fourth-generation family members involved, Triggs is a true family business.
"Dennis, Chas's son, took over from his dad and is 82 now but he still comes in a couple of days to do work," says Gordon's niece Sarah, who also works at Triggs.
"In fact, Gordon, who is Dennis's son, has been off work recently and Dennis has been on the tools five days a week.
"Dennis's wife, Alison, the matriarch of the business, still comes in a couple of hours each day to help with the invoicing.
"My dad, Paul, started as an apprentice at Triggs, and basically married the bosses daughter, Fiona, and the connections don't stop there - so you know - we are truly a family owned and operated business with deep roots in the community."
Triggs can boast that they regularly have older customers recounting to the office staff how they bought their first car from Chas and have been coming to Triggs ever since.
There's no substitutes for knowledge, good workmanship and a friendly face and Triggs is the best place to get it.
All the gang at Triggs Motors, even the office staff, have a passion for classic cars. Be it servicing and maintenance or repairs, or just staring at them lovingly.
They can carry out small welding and general automotive engineering jobs and repairs, 4wd modifications and rebuilds.
And they've always made sure to keep up to date with modern technology and techniques, so they are also able to look after new car logbook servicing.
British motor cars like Land Rover, Mini, MG and Rover are a specialty as is welding and metal fabrication.
Gordon is Trigg's 4WD guru and loves mucking about with 4WD mods and helping people with their vehicle travel prep. He also regularly partakes in Rally events.
Dennis has a wealth of knowledge, and these days focuses on carrying out registration inspections, child seat fitment, parts sourcing and even making parts when none are available.
So, whether you've got a classic car and are looking for someone who's workmanship you can trust, or maybe you want advice and help to get your rig set up for your next big adventure, Triggs are there to help you out.
The team will look after everything from classic cars to 4WDs, and every make and model in between.
Triggs Motors is located at 88 Excelsior Parade, Toronto.
