Newcastle Olympic's Jemma House was named Herald Women's Premier League player of the year on Monday night when the 2020 award winners were announced online.

House signed with Olympic for this year on return to Newcastle after four seasons playing in the United States college football system. She scored 33 goals in 16 appearances, including eight hat-tricks and one four-goal haul, on the way to leading Olympic to the premiership-championship double.
House was named player of the grand final after scoring twice and setting up a third in Olympic's 3-2 win over Warners Bay. She also collected the golden boot award for being the league's leading scorer.
Broadmeadow's Kobie Ferguson was voted WPL players' player, while her Magic teammate Lucy Jerram was named young player of the year.
Former Women's National Soccer League player Jen Hoy earned the media award, Merewether shot-stopper Alison Logue was named goalkeeper of the year and Mid Coast's Michael Grass awarded coach of the year after mentoring his young side to fifth place.
Merewether won the fair play award and Adamstown club of the year.
