Police attended a Killingworth address on Wednesday, arresting a 28-year-old woman after lengthy inquiries through Strike Force Roche.
The strike force was formed by several police districts to seek out alleged fraudulent claims for bushfire disaster money and small business grants through government agencies.
The woman was taken to Belmont police station and charged with one count of dishonestly obtain financial benefit by deception.
"Police will allege in court the woman fraudulently obtained a $10,000 grant through a bushfire small business support scheme," NSW Police said in a statement.
The 28-year-old received conditional bail and will face Toronto Local Court on December 1.
Strike Force Roche detectives have charged five people as part of their inquiries so far.
Investigations across multiple Northern Region police districts are ongoing.
