The $895,000 sale under auction conditions last weekend of a three-bedroom house on a 918 square metre block opposite Lake Macquarie and another prestige listing has continued a string of activity along The Esplanade between Warners Bay and Speers Point.

Belle Property Lake Macquarie's Anthony Di Nardo reported the $895,000 result for 250 The Esplanade shortly after launching landmark listing The Knoll at 374 The Esplanade to market with a guide of $3.5 million.
Built in 1917, the grand four-bedroom residence is surrounded by landscaped gardens on a 3097 square metre landholding that captures stunning lake views.
It is set for auction on December 19 and expected to produce a record sale for Speers Point.
A Warners Bay suburb record sale believed to be $3.5 million was set by Belle Property in June for 526 The Esplanade. They also sold 362 The Esplanade for $1.005 million in September and No.356 last month for $900,000.

Absolute luxury
Also on the lake, Viking Realty's Louise Vico is marketing an absolute waterfront home at 14 Bellevue Road in Belmont with a guide of $2.15 million to $2.35 million. The four-bedroom, three-bedroom home is perched high on Anderson's Hill with stunning lake views from every window.
Point of difference
Belle Property Lake Macquarie's Sam Taylor has described a four-bedroom Cameron Park home with a separate two-bedroom, two-bathroom granny flat as "quite unique for the suburb". A price guide has not yet been set for 37 Gaites Drive but Mr Taylor observed an increased demand for granny flats.
Blank canvas
A "killer view" back to Newcastle and across the harbour is proving the drawcard for a two-bedroom, single-level brick home at 18 Wharf Crescent in Stockton that is described by Ray White's Teresa Heighington as a "blank canvas". A guide has not been disclosed.
Three years ago, the sale of totally transformed neighbouring property 20 Wharf Crescent broke the $2 million mark for Stockton.
Listings over $1m
Robinson Property's Lyndall Allan reported a strong response to a three-bedroom Californian Bungalow at 13 Stanley Street in Merewether which is on the market for the first time in almost 40 years and has an auction guide of $1.6 million.
Expectations are over $3 million for a waterfront home at 117 Dilkera Avenue, Valentine which is being marketed by Belle Property Lake Macquarie.
Interest is expected over $1.3 million for a six-bedroom, five-bathroom residence on 4096 square metres of land at 14 Valley View Place in Nulkaba that is being sold by Belle Property Cessnock.
Listings $500,000 to $1m
First National Newcastle City have listed a four-bedroom house on a block 670 square metres in size at 50 Beath Crescent, Kahibah with a guide of $850,000 to $910,000.
A completely renovated three-bedroom house at 2 Leicester Avenue in Belmont North has been listed for sale by Belle Property Charlestown with a guide of $650,000.
Raine & Horne have a three-bedroom house with rear-lane access to Mayfield Park at 4 Vine Street that they expect to attract plenty of interest with a guide of $545,000 to $615,000.
Listings under $500,000
Crawford Real Estate have a two-bedroom unit at 1/37 Gamack Street in Mayfield on the market for $440,000 to $470,000.
An industrial-style one-bedroom apartment in Soque at 113/14 Milford Street in Islington is being sold by LaneCampos for $420,000 to $460,000.
McGrath Newcastle City have a one-bedroom apartment on the market at 227/121-125 Union Street in Cooks Hill with a guide of $425,000 to $465,000.
