Australian rock icon Jimmy Barnes will headline Red Hot Summer on October 23, 2021 at the Pokolbin winery.
The line-up will also include legendary rock band Hoodoo Gurus, The Living End's frontman Chris Cheney, Diesel, soul sisters Vika and Linda Bull and Jon Stevens.
Two weeks ago Roche Estate's Sunset Sounds, scheduled for March 27 and headlined by Daryl Braithwaite, became the first music event announced for Hunter wine country since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Red Hot Summer was last held at Roche Estate in February just prior to the outbreak and featured Hunters & Collectors, James Reyne, The Living End, Baby Animals, The Angels, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera.
The Hunter show is part of the second leg of the Red Hot Summer Tour which features shows in Victoria, NSW and the ACT.
Kariong's Mount Penang Parklands on the Central Coast will host a show on October 24.
The first leg of the tour runs through autumn in Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.
"Since we announced the first run, we have been contacted daily about when fans in other states will have a chance to attend the festival," promoter Duane McDonald said.
"We were working on dates for Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT from the very start, however, we needed to make sure we worked well in line with government restrictions to provide the festival in a COVID-safe way. We are stoked to be able to announce these shows for our long-time supporters in those areas."
Tickets for Red Hot Summer at Roche Estate go on sale on Thursday through Ticketmaster.
