The Barcia Bale-Explosive Madame pair, both out of box one in their first start, claimed maiden races to kick off the program.
Explosive Venom ($2.80) jumped to the lead in her 450-metre event and held on for a two-length victory in 25.35 seconds.
Brother Nitroglycerine ($3) tackled the 400m maiden and also powered to the early lead. He finished 3.25 lengths clear in 22.49.
Flanagan has four in work, all out of the same litter, and he prepares them alongside top Hunter Valley trainer Jason Mackay at his Richmond Vale operation.
"They were lucky with a couple of good draws, but they've got potential," Flanagan said of his winners.
"We had to do some work on them because they were stuffing around a bit, but with Jason's help, we sorted their box manners out.
"Nitroglycerine's got ability and I was pretty confident with him.
"Explosive Venom, she'll beat Nitroglycerine every day of the week, but she was stepping up to 450 and I didn't know what Drink Long Necks would do because it's well bred."
Meanwhile, Hexham trainer Gayle Masterson's Knight's Page will represent the Hunter in heats of the group 1 Dapto Megastar (520m) on Thursday.
Knight's Page has drawn box seven in heat one of three, which features star Flying Ricciardo in the three.
