Around 6pm on November 22 a 38-year-old man, his 34-year-old pregnant wife, and their daughter were standing near their stopped vehicle in Carrington Street, Horseshoe Bend.
A male described to be in his forties, about 160cm tall, medium build, short hair, of Caucasian appearance, wearing clothing only described as grey in colour and looked untidy, approached them. He then punched and pushed the pregnant woman, before turning to her husband and doing the same. The husband was holding his daughter at the time and fell to the ground as a consequence of the assault.
This is an especially cowardly and aggravated offence, and police are eager to speak to anyone that maybe able to assist," NSW Police statement said.
Anyone with information should call Maitland Police on 49340200, or Crime Stoppers on 1800333000, and quote report number E76667640.
Information can be submitted anonymously.
