Police have been called to the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash in Lake Macquarie.

Emergency service crews were sent to Caves Beach Road at Caves Beach after reports a motorcycle had left the road and hit a fence about 2.35pm on Thursday.
Police said in a statement the rider, believed to be an 18-year-old man, died at the scene.
A woman who had been driving a Ford Territory wagon police said was involved in the crash was taken to Belmont Hospital for mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Local traffic diversions were put in place as police began investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
