A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were called about 2.15pm after reports the girl had fallen down a cliff.
The girl is believed to have fallen near the Yuelarbah walking track, a popular trail that links Kahibah and the Fernleigh Track with Glenrock Lagoon.
The girl has suffered a wrist injury and is complaining of pelvis pain, the NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
Emergency crews had made their way to the girl at about 4.30pm and were working to get to her safety.
A rescue helicopter had been tasked from Sydney but the spokesman said that had since been called off and crews were going to use a 4WD to extricate the girl.
