The Maitland product, who has been contracted to Kent since 2017, returned home in December and was keen to get back on the field after ankle surgery. He has helped Uni to wins over Hamilton-Wickham (one-dayer) and Cardiff Boolaroo (T20), taking 1-28 and 1-12 and scoring 9 not out and 30 respectively.
The 26-year-old plans to return to England, if COVID restrictions allow, in mid-February to prepare for another season with Kent, where he has averaged 23.96 with the bat and taken 44 wickets at 31.97 across 21 first-class matches. The county season starts April 8.
In the meantime, Harriott hopes Stewart can inspire Uni to more success.
"It's obviously handy to have someone of that calibre to give back to the club he was from," Harriott said.
"It's just boosted the confidence of all the younger kids around the team and obviously made it a lot easier for me to make a bowling change and bring him on.
"He had to come back in December and do quarantine and when he was in that he reached out to the club and said he would be keen to have a couple of games.
"He's coming back from an ankle operation and he was keen to get out there and get some miles into his legs.
"We had him last year when he was back, and anytime he is back, he's willing to give us a hand. He'll be handy in the two-day format."
Uni start a two-day match against Merewether on Saturday at Townson Oval. Harriott said James Rushford was not available for two-game matches.
