Miss Verstappen and mare Corbaux scored strong victories with Robert Morris in the gig.
Corbaux's owner Allan McColl turned down a spot in the Menangle Country series heat on the night to target the up to 70 race and she did the job, running 1:55:5 for the mile in a front-running 5.7m win.
"She has been a bit frustrating. A few times she should have gone better than what she has," Harmey said.
"Allan thought the Menangle race was a bit hard for her and we'd take the easier race on offer. It worked well for her. She's still racing as well as ever, her time was good and Robbie drove her very well. Allan has been good to me, so it's just good to get a winner for him."
Miss Verstappen, a cheap buy from New Zealand, had returned from Queensland to race in the NSW Oaks heats on February 20 but a minor float accident the night before prompted Harmey to scratch his two runners. She is set to return north in the winter for the Queensland Oaks.
"She goes nice and I think there's a lot more improvement to come," Harmey said.
