Having his first start since winning the group 1 Dapto Megastar on December 10, the Kristy Sultana-trained star was expected to dominate from box one in his comeback from injury.
Up against just three rivals, Flying Ricciardo sped to an early lead and was never in trouble as he cruised to a six-length win in 24.63 seconds. La Grand Quality's track record stands at 24.56.
Flying Ricciardo, now with 20 wins in 24 starts, is expected to race in the Golden Easter Egg series this month.
Kristy's father, Sam Sultana, also had an impressive winner on the night, Pablo Mouse, which clocked a slick 22.1 for the 400m to beat kennelmate Ivy Conniving.
Also on the night, Sydney trainer Rob Tyler had a trifecta with Zipping Lockett, Preston Lee and Unlawful Assault in the third race, a 5th grade 400m. He also won later in the program with Ritza Daniel.
