Anthony Merlo, of Movable Newcastle, has listed the home of retired Newcastle jockey and trainer Alan Scorse and wife Sharyn at 196 Chatham Street in Hamilton South.
It features a large, four-bedroom house with an in-ground swimming pool and is part of an allotment of around 1200 square metres in size. There are council-approved stables at the rear of the block, which is accessed from Popran Lane.
The stables housed 18 boxes, boys/feed/hay rooms, a four-horse walker, float parking and is around 400 metres from Newcastle Racecourse.
It is being sold through expressions of interest, closing April 4, and has a guide of $1.4 million. It is open Saturday at 1pm.

John Kerr, of Dalton Partners New Lambton, is expecting to be inundated by interest for a totally renovated apartment in well-known Art Deco complex Clifton Court in Merewether.
The three-bedroom apartment at 1/15 Livingstone Street is in a complex of just four and is within close proximity to Dixon Park and Merewether beaches.
It has been listed with a guide of $770,000 and is set for auction on April 10. The property is open for inspection Saturday at 11am.
Strong interest
A home that produced one of Lambton's highest residential sale results when it last exchanged is back on the market and generating plenty of enquiry.
Dave Lane, of LaneCampos, is marketing the four-bedroom house at 20 Orlando Road. It has been extensively renovated and features a pool and separate pool house complete with bar.
Mr Lane sold the property for $1.34 million three years ago. The price at the time was the second-highest on record for Lambton. He reported 50 groups had inspected the property and expected strong competition for the expressions of interest campaign.
It is open Saturday at 11.15am. A price guide has not been disclosed.

Dalton Partners The Junction are guiding $1.1 million for a four-bedroom home at 1 Moola Place in Merewether.
A brick house with four bedrooms at 46 Alexander Street, Hamilton South is being marketed by First National Newcastle City with a guide of $1.65 million to $1.75 million.
PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie are selling a three-bedroom apartment in the first stage of East End at A907/Perkins and King Street in Newcastle for $2.2 million to $2.25 million.
A guide has not yet been set for a three-bedroom Californian Bungalow at 5 Smith Street in Hamilton South that is being sold by Belle Property Lake Macquarie but expectations are believed to be around $1.3 million.
$500,000 to $1m
PRD's Jesse Wilton reported a handful of remaining apartments in stage one of the East End development in Newcastle "were selling practically as soon as they list". One-bedroom apartments are being marketed from $600,000 and two-bedroom listings are from $850,000.
A residence that is a replica of Tocal homestead and is positioned on 11.4 hectares of land at 588 Webbers Creek Road in Paterson is being marketed by Belle Property with an auction guide expected in the high $900,000 range.
Thirty-one groups attended the first open house of a two-bedroom home at 31 Tiral Street, Charlestown. The property is being marketed by Belle Property Newcastle with an auction guide of $630,000.
Under $500,000
Simon Wall Property have a one-bedroom apartment at 4/129 Brooks Street, Bar Beach on the market for $370,000 to $400,000.
